The largest to date cycle 8 is closing at the end of January 2018. The cycle consisted of 129 Intermediary Organisations across 28 European Countries. By early December 2017, Cycle 8 IOs have achieved over 2000 exchanges between New and Host entrepreneurs! This result is rather remarkable as it marks the highest achievement in terms of established matched per cycle in the programme so far.

In just over a year Startup Division accepted 30 applications, 14 exchanges already took place with 12 still ongoing. New Entrepreneurs from Lithuania gained experience through collaboration with experienced entrepreneurs around Europe. 7 host entrepreneurs hosted new entrepreneurs from abroad in Lithuania. The mentorship exchanges resulted in further business development for a majority of startups. All participants stated that the exchanges were successful and somehow contributed towards the development of their businesses.

Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs is a cross-border exchange programme, which gives new or aspiring entrepreneurs the chance to learn from experienced entrepreneurs running small businesses in other Participating Countries. The exchange of experience takes place during a stay with the experienced entrepreneur, who helps the new entrepreneur acquire the skills needed to run a small company. The host benefits from fresh perspectives on his/her business and gets the opportunities to cooperate with foreign partners or learn about new markets.

Well-motivated aspiring entrepreneurs with a business of up to 3 years or a business idea are welcome to apply as New Entrepreneurs and those running businesses for over 3 years and willing to share are very encouraged to participate as Hosts.
