Mommypreneurs: Several Dozens of Lithuanian Mothers Ready to Conquer the Labour Market

Startup Division has successfully ended the first round of Mommypreneurs digital skills training and entrepreneurship courses. The closing event attracted many guests – some of them wanted to hear about the upcoming round of Mommypreneurs courses, others – to listen about the experience of the lecturers and participants of the courses. The participants of Mommypreneurs project also had the opportunity to present their business ideas and possibly find a potential investor.

Mommypreneurs closing event guests had the opportunity to hear a thorough presentation of Mommypreneurs programme, meet lecturers from Code Academy who lead the digital skills training course, as well as meet the lecturer Juste Pakenaite-Dailydke, the founder of Triple O Consulting who gave her insights about the courses and some tips to mothers starting their own businesses. Juste Pakenaite-Dailydke said that it is crucial to not only concentrate on the creation of business but also to learn how to find some me-time to relax and improve.

The event also hosted mothers who have completed the Mommypreneurs digitals skills and entrepreneurship courses. The latter had the opportunity to present their business ideas and meet potential investors. There was a lot to hear about indeed – mothers presented their business ideas that vary from birch sap, luxury bed sheets and pillowcases, events to families to virtual reality glasses for informal education and solar lamp post autonomous controllers.

The mothers admit that Mommypreneurs courses gave them everything they could wish for to start their own business – from the tips on how to start the business to specific steps on how to generate leads, advertise your product or attract financing to your business.

The social initiative Mommypreneurs aims to strengthen the skills of young inactive women on maternity leave or caring for children, to equip them with new digital and/or entrepreneurship skills to improve their potential in re-entering the labour market or start their own business. The organizers are happy that Mommypreneurs project has attracted many applicants and encourage all young mothers to register for the second batch of the courses that will start in February 2020.
